Kate

Just wanted to show you this quick speed paint I did to prove something for my portfolio, which is the clear improvement I've had in the past 9 years. To illustrate this I wanted to go back, way back, to one of my oldest, dearest characters, Kate. Kate is from a story called "Code of the Kat" which if you've been a fan of mine since way back in 2004 you might remember, if not, that's OK. It's a war story, and it's a story that I still want to tell someday. I just haven't reached a level of drawing or writing yet where I feel I'm worthy to tell the story.

Anyways, just to show you a clear example of the changes of my art style I wanted to show you from the absolute oldest pics of Kate on DA up through today how much has changed. I have been drawing Kate since I was a freshman in high school back in 2004. I haven't drawn her in at least three years, but I never forget her. In times of trouble I'll always remember how to draw Kate. Anyways, I guess what I'm trying to say is I've been down lately, stressed about a lot of stuff and my art style, so I had to do this to prove to myself that yes I've improved, and yes I'm going to continue to improve. I might stall every now and then, but I'll always return to what I love. Thank you everyone for supporting in this art journey by helping and encouraging me as I have grown. I hope to continue to grow. The only limit is how far I'm willing to push myself.
